Landscape Project Draft #1

It's been raining pretty much all afternoon, so I whipped out my pencils and started sketching what I would like to see the exterior of our home look like in a couple of years. This is just a rough draft, not necessarily what we'll end up doing, but putting it down on paper always helps me put my thoughts into perspective.
Before
AFTER!!!
Just Kidding ;) This is Zoe's version...colorful right?

  My after.....
It's blurry...grrrrr :( ok well to break it down for you...this is what's in my head.....

1. Ornamental pink Cherry Tree
2. Colonial greyish-green exterior house paint
3. A black iron gate
4. Red geraniums in a bed around trees
5. Italian cypress trees softening the hard angles of this house
6. Black Shutters
7. Lay a cement patio area (that's what the gate was for)
8. Juniper Shrubs
9. Lilly of the Vally Clusters
10. New *SOB* - I mean sod :-/
11. Extending walkway straight out to street
12. Topiary trees flanking windows

Thoughts? Ideas? Please share...This is going to be a LONNNNG running topic for me. Florida planting season is just around the corner :) Can't wait!

  1. I like the patio, iron fence/gate around it and the black shutters. I am absolutely in love with the ornamental pink cherry tree as well. I do this as well, draw floor plans of what I want things to look like in my home, however I have never tackled landscaping, although I should. Good Luck!
