This was our first holiday in our new home, and it was a welcomed change from what we are used to. My husband was actually off (for a change) so we took full advantage. The morning started with hosting a little BBQ pool party for my daughter with some kids from a local playgroup. It was fun, so much so that I forgot to take pictures ;) Thank God for hubs, who took some of the food...thanks babe <3
In the afternoon we decided to head down to the lakefront, where the town hosted it's annual 4th of July block party.
They had lots of activities for young and old alike, but my daughters favorite was the ponyrides.
She loves being on a horse, so much in fact that we took down the woman's info, and will be starting lessons in a few weeks! Zoe is super excited, and who knows maybe one of these days I'll be blogging about what it's like to own a horse...maybe.
We ended the night with a bang...literally :) Lighting off fireworks on our driveway, and watching the neighbors in surrounding homes light off theirs. It was a perfect beginning to many more holidays to come in our new home. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Goodnight :)
