Every couple of weeks or so I find myself taking a stroll into Goodwill. Most of the time I leave there empty handed. However, today my eyes locked on this...
Isn't she (yes, she) absolutely perfect?! As soon as I saw this lamp I grabbed it and ran to the register to claim her!
You see, I have been eyeing the Barclay Arc Table Lamp at Pottery Barn forever, but couldn't justify the $179.00 price that was attached to it.
Cost for my lovely lamp...a steal at $15.00!
She (yes, the lamp) has found a perfect place of residence in the corner of our family room. I'm still not done styling the room yet, but all that's left to get is textiles, and I need to stop being so afraid of adding color. It's a little too greige in there for my liking.
It's coming together though...
So, have you been out thrifting lately? Score anything good? Don't get discouraged and give up if you haven't found anything in a while. You never know when you'll hit the junk jackpot! Today just happened to be my day!

ReplyDeleteThank you :) Browsing through designer catalogs always help me visualize what I'm looking for, and then I try to either duplicate it or make it on the cheap. If I just went into a store with no picture in mind I'd be lost too!

DeleteWhat a score on the lamp! Love it. I haven't been doing any thifting lately. On occasion I run to this Habitat for Humanity Restore (love that place), you know, just to see. But lately I've been eyeing this store in town because they put a pile of stuff out everyday. I feel like there's something in that pile for me, but I hold off because I want to finish the projects staring in my face right now. *Working on a furniture makeover project*. :-)

DeleteI ALMOST bought that lamp last week when my mom and I were in there buying a china cabinet! The ironic thing is that I thought of you when I saw it. Lol.

DeleteWhat a great find! I seem to be the only individual who never finds any thing good at thrift stores, but maybe it's because I hardly ever go. I have gotten the itch lately though, so I may just take a trip, and cross my fingers. Love the colors in your room, it's all coming along nicely.
ReplyDeleteIt's not by choice really, I'd much prefer to go to Homegoods but the closest one is 45 minutes away! However, when I find a great item like this for a great price it makes me so happy!! Fingers crossed you find some treasures! Xo
