Have you seen these caterpillars before? I used to think they were pretty to look at until our bug guy told us they were poisonous. If you happen to brush up against one of these guys, they will give you a nasty rash that burns like heck.
Lucky for us...
We have the only plants they will eat right next to our pool area. {no, we didn't plant them} We have been trying to rip out these plants for a year now, You see, I wouldn't care about the caterpillars if they actually stayed on the bushes...
But they don't stay! They swarm by the hundreds {no exaggeration} onto our house and build nasty, furry, black cocoon nests. They're gross!
Cue: Village People....
So my husband decided today he was going to cut those bushes down and tear them out of the ground. He went to Home Depot and rented a chainsaw. That should do the trick, right?
Wrong...
These bushes are going to be the death of me...
