Big Plans. Little Guest Bath.

Did you know the color white could be dark and dirty? Don't believe me...just look for yourself.

This is our extra bath.
The one that guests use when they are in our house. The one that I just threw a way too short, cheap shower curtain up and called it a day.
This is also my daughters bathroom. I say it like that because if it was up to her (I actually did ask what she wanted) It would be hot pink and purple with Disney princess wall decals.
Uhhh nope. Not happening.

So I've been online for months trying to find inspiration and I think I now have a clear idea of
what direction to go in ... I have big plans for this little bath.

I love the deep dark paint contrasted with crisp clean white. Even though our bathroom doesn't have as many windows as these pictures I'm hoping that by adding more lighting I can get away with this bold color.

Loving the framed molding this blogger did to their powder room and I will definitely be taking this approach rather than board and batten.

Every bathroom needs some kind of bling right?

Overstock is going to be my 'go to' place for fixtures a.k.a bathroom jewelry. Some of the lighting fixtures I have my eyes on are these...

And then there's the vanity...

The vanity is going to be a hard one and I'm still up in the air about what exactly I want. I do know it will have to be white, and I'm thinking a white with hints of grey marble on top.

Similar to this one from my girl Jessica at Stay at Home-ista

So...
What are you thinking? Like/Dislike?
Are you into that deep dark unexpected pop of color or do you think it's too much?

I'd love to hear you thoughts!
