After we disturbed those poor babies and momma (which you can read about here) I had a guilty conscience. So we decided to make momma squirrel a treat today, so she can get nice and fat and make lots of milk to feed those cute babies.
On one of our afternoon strolls this past week, we found this MASSIVE pine cone. I'm going to start collecting them for fall and Christmas to make ornaments, they're HUGE!
Along with the pine cone, you'll need peanut butter, any kind of bird seed, and some string or ribbon. I let Zoe do all the dirty work (she enjoys it)
Spread a hefty amount of peanut butter all over your pine cone.
Once it's all covered, roll it around in some bird seed.
Then tie ribbon around the top (tight) double knot it, and then hang it up in a tree or bush. Birds will love it too, although this one is for momma squirrel. Hope you make one :)
