Before....
After :)
I don't know about you, but I love the look of English ivy. To me it oozes luxury and warmth, and if you see a building covered in it's beauty, it gives mystery and enchantment to the exterior. Well after many nights of disappointing informative research, it became clear that ivy is pretty damaging to a buildings exterior too. So, about a week ago we added sconce lights to the garage...apparently the previous owners liked to be left in the dark. I, however, do not. I also found and bought these nifty fake faux ivy trellis' on EBay. They were 1/2 off for 4th of July, now they are back to regular price, so hold off on buying them (for now). They are expandable 3x6ft, so perfect for around the garage. I put them up, hung a real potted geranium in front of it, and in less than 10 minutes+ the time it took the electrician to install the sconces...I have my IVY and a much brighter area to drive into at night! :)
Only time will tell if this trellis will hold up to the elements, but for now I'm as happy as a pig in mud. Have you faked fauxed anything lately?
It looks so good! I can't believe those ivy plants are fake.
ReplyDeleteI know!! I had very low expectations when I bought them, but they are very realistic looking :) I might have to get more. Thanks for the comments :)
